Global Technical Recognition Ceremony

During World Food Forum 2025, FAO recognized global contributions shaping the future of food
FAO hosted the Global Technical Recognition Ceremony to celebrate 238 winners from nearly 90 countries for their outstanding contributions to more sustainable, resilient and inclusive agrifood systems.
Held at FAO’s Rome headquarters as part of the Organization’s 80th anniversary and the 2025 World Food Forum, the event – opened by FAO Director-General QU Dongyu - highlighted innovation and collaboration across six key technical categories:
- Sustainable livestock transformation, One Health, animal health, and Reference Centres
- South-South and Triangular Cooperation
- Land, soil and water resource management for resilient agriculture and food security
- Sustainable aquatic food systems
- Sustainable forest production and protection
- Sustainable plant production and protection
Recipients included ministries, research centers, universities, private sector entities and community organizations advancing agrifood systems through science, technology and cooperation reflecting FAO’s global reach and the diversity of technical excellence across regions and sectors.
