How much water is in 1 kilo of beef?

Believe it or not, most of the water we use -actually the 92% of it- is used in food production.

This blog post has nothing to do with vegans or vegetarians. It’s all about realizing how much water is needed to produce just 1 kilo of meat and why we should be cutting off some meat from our diets for many reasons, water included. It is actually a matter of sustainability with many aspects. Today, we will focus just on one of these: Water! Believe it or not, most of the water we use -actually the 92% of it- is used in food production. In order to save at least a small part of it -even a small part can make a great change- we can just follow some simple steps in our everyday life. These steps, can lead us towards a more water secure future. It’s in our hands and -definitely- on our plates. So, if you think you can make a difference, read this article, share it with your friends. Together we can make every drop count ;-)
