Today, the crisis situation in the European dairy sector clearly highlights the failures of our current EU policies for supporting viable farm enterprises and balanced rural development. As a result the programme will include a panel discussion looking at whether EU agri-food policies are capable of supporting sustainable farming and food economies. This will be followed by a workshop exploring the state of play on rural development programme (RDPs) implementation in different Member States and regions. Overall the event will consider the latest reform of the CAP for the period 2014-2020
