Participatory approaches of Climate Smart Agriculture practices (CSA), Farmer Field Schools (FFS) and indigenous Chakra systems.

The event is a panel discussion aimed at sharing voices from the field through short country presentations on approaches, practices and technologies to scale-up climate-resilient agriculture, including lessons learned, challenges and opportunities.

Voices from the field – Zambia: 

1. Moderated question: Farmers need to select climate smart crop varieties and the most suitable planting time to reduce on the chances of crop failure. How is the Government of Zambia working with farmers, researchers, and extension officers to ensure that farmers make informed decisions based on the state-of-the-art climate smart agricultural knowledge, technologies, and digital applications?
