Scaling-up community driven innovations for inclusive climate change adaptation

11/11/2021 11/11/2021

Date and Time: 11 November 2021, 09:00 – 10:30 GMT

The impacts of climate change on agriculture depend on the ecosystems, the enabling environment and specific farmer conditions including his/her ability to invest in adaptive practices. Community driven approaches are found to help address the diverse climate challenges by valuing local knowledge and empowering farmers to identify and experiment what works best for them. While the importance of community driven approach and experiential learning are known for some time, such approaches are often considered difficult to scale. The event invites practitioners to discuss the values of such approaches and key lessons to ensure impacts and scale by investing in capacities, partnerships, knowledge networks and digital innovations.
