FISH4ACP is led by the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), which promotes the sustainable development of its 79 African, Caribbean and Pacific member states and their integration into the global economy.
The initiative is funded by the European Union’s department for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ).
DG INTPA is responsible for formulating the EU's international partnership and development policy, while BMZ caries out Germany's development cooperation policy focused on protecting human rights and fostering the developing countries' sense of ownership and ability to help themselves.
FISH4ACP is implemented by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, a specialized UN agency that leads global efforts to defeat hunger.
