Martial Bernoux
Senior Natural Resources Officer
Martial Bernoux is a Senior Natural Resources Officer at FAO within the Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment (OCB). He is team leader of the climate change team which hosts the FAST Partnership. Prior to joining FAO, he served at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), where he led research on agriculture, soils, climate change, and greenhouse gas accounting. He has worked closely with several science-policy panels, including the Science-Policy Interface of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) from 2014 to 2017, and has collaborated with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 2003.
Giulia Maria Galbiati
Natural Resources Officer and FAST Partnership Task Force Coordinator
Giulia Maria Galbiati is a development professional with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management and Masters' degrees in Environmental Humanities and International Cooperation for Development. Currently serving as a Climate Change Specialist, she coordinates the FAST Partnership Task Force at the Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment of FAO. Giulia is also a climate finance analyst. She has authored several assessments of climate-related development finance and has contributed to publications with focused analysis on climate-related ODA specific for agrifood systems.
Imelda Bacudo
Climate Finance and Engagement Specialist
Imelda (Dada) Bacudo is a climate expert with over 25 years experience engaging governments and non state actors to develop policies and source finance for wider implementation of climate smart agriculture. At FAO, she helps the FAST Partnership secure memberships and funding. She also leads network and partnerships building in the FAO Asia Pacific. She has worked as senior advisor to the UAE COP28 Presidency and to ASEAN on agrifood systems. She played a pivotal role in the creation of the ASEAN Negotiating Group for Agriculture(ANGA) and the ASEAN Climate Resilience Network. She co-chairs the Global Alliance on Climate Smart Agriculture, and holds a Masters on Environment Science from Yale University under a Fulbright scholarship.
Maylina St-Louis
Maylina St-Louis is a Climate Change Specialist with over eight years of experience working for government and the United Nations on partnerships and capacity development in the fields of climate change, peace and security. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Development and Globalization with Minor in Law and a Master’s degree in International Security. Within the Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Environment, she supports the FAST Partnership Task Force’s outreach and engagement and contributes to the climate finance workstream. She is fluent in French and English.
Ilaria Caputo
Climate Change Specialist
Ilaria Caputo is a Climate Change and Sustainability Specialist with over six years of experience in climate change economics and energy, working across international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. At FAO, she supports the FAST Task Force with climate finance technical analysis and provides on-demand technical assistance to countries on climate finance. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Master's Degrees in Environmental Economics and in Energy and Environmental Management from the University of Pavia. She is fluent in in Italian, Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Fiona Bottigliero
Fiona Bottigliero is a communications expert with over 14 years of experience in strategic communications, knowledge sharing and partnerships in the field of sustainable development and humanitarian assistance (FAO, WFP and CGIAR). Fiona coordinates communication and outreach efforts of the FAST Partnership and leads communications activities for the science and finance workstreams within the Climate Change team's portfolio (FAO Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment). She holds a B.A. in French Literature and Art History and an M.Phil in Textual and Visual Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
Lucia Moro
Lucia Moro is a visual communications expert with over 20 years of experience in graphic design and art direction, ten of these at FAO. Lucia is responsible for brand design on multiple FAO initiatives within FAO’s Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment (OCB), including COPs, and the development and application of the FAST Partnership’s visual identity. She leads graphic design activities on a wide range of products, both print and digital, and assists with management of the FAST website.
Abigail Alvarado
Climate Governance Specialist, Latin America and the Caribbean
Abigail Alvarado is the FAST Partnership Task Force focal point for the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Office (RLC) of FAO. In this role, she provides technical assistance and advisory support on regional platforms. She works in the Climate Change Unit within FAO RLC and coordinates the Climate Action Platform in Agriculture for Latin America and the Caribbean (PLACA). Her experience focuses on regional project management in LAC on climate change, climate risk management, vulnerability, and adaptation related issues. She holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering, an MSc in Research in hydrology, hydrochemistry, soils, and environment, and a Certificate in Innovation Management.
Francesco Londoño
Francesco Londoño is a geographer from Universidad Externado de Colombia and a Master’s student in Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He has worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in Colombia and as a consultant for youth smallholder farmer associations in the same country. His master’s research focused on the interactions between smallholder farmers’ labor processes and the soil and water properties of Colombia’s highland Andean ecosystems.
