I am working on:
Community-based initiatives on agroecology, food security and climate resilience in southern Mauritania, including the development of a territorial center for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) supporting small-scale farmers, women and youth.

Almamy Soumaré is a Mauritanian practitioner and social entrepreneur working on food security, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience, with a strong focus on community-based approaches.

He is the Manager of Ets Bouga Té AgriServices, a social enterprise supporting small-scale producers—particularly women and youth—through agroecological practices, capacity development, and market-oriented services. His work combines agricultural development, advocacy, and local action planning in contexts affected by climate change and land degradation.

Almamy has extensive field experience in southern Mauritania, where he collaborates with cooperatives, local resource management associations, and youth groups to strengthen resilient agrifood systems. He is a certified Nature-based Solutions practitioner (IUCN Global Standard) and an active member of international networks, including the FAO Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN Forum) and UNDRR ARISE.
