Mr. Sid Mehta
As the Senior Director of Ancillary Services at Simon Fraser University (SFU), I oversee a diverse portfolio that encompasses retail, food services, esports, sustainable mobility, and more, with an annual budget exceeding $60M annually. This positions us as one of Canada's leading nonprofit operations of this nature in the country. To complement our operations, we also lead the Food Climate Action Labs, focused on creating scalable solutions for transforming food systems. Our approach involves leveraging University operations as a platform to test, refine, and close the gap between research, policy-making, and real-world execution, serving as practical platforms that not only demonstrate the potential of climate action but also facilitate the transition of these ideas into tangible, impactful policies and practices supported by knowledge and capacity necessary for scaling at a local, sub-national and national level.
