I am a seasoned research and development professional with over a decade of experience working with leading international organizations including ICIMOD, ILRI, ICRAF, GIZ, and IFAD. As a Regional Rangeland Consultant and Gender Resource Person, I specialize in implementing gender-sensitive research initiatives and sustainable agricultural systems across diverse communities. My expertise spans agroforestry, natural resource management, and ecosystem services, with particular focus on rangeland management, integrated farming systems, and biodiversity. I bring extensive experience in project management, proposal development, resource mobilization, and strategic planning, complemented by a proven track record in conducting gender case studies and socio-economic research.

What drives me is the opportunity to support vulnerable communities in enhancing their livelihoods through sustainable resource management. My collaborative approach and strong communication skills enable me to work effectively with diverse stakeholders while delivering impactful results. With extensive experience in managing multilayered, multipartnered, gender-sensitive, and multidisciplinary projects, I excel in project coordination, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for diverse research initiatives.  I have a proven track record of summarizing and analyzing research findings, with 29 publications to my name, including 13 research papers in national and international journals, a bestselling book from 2009, a compendium, 10 abstracts, 5 book chapters, as well as blogs, newsletters, and a documentary short film.
