Presentation 1 Ms Suzanne Raswant, Officer-in-charge of Special Emergencies at FAO, made a presentation entitled “The Humanitarian Situation in the Gaza Strip and FAO’s response.” She offered updated information on FAO’s response to the humanitarian situation in the Gazan agricultural sector, of the flash appeal, FAO’s on-going activities and for further mobilization of funds. Presentation 2 During her presentation, the Secretary of COAG - Ms Jutta Krause, gave a comprehensive overview of the agenda item for the meeting of 22-25 April. She underscored relevant elements of the Strategic Framework and the Medium-Term Plan. Presentation 3 Mr Modibo Traoré, Assistant Director-General for the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Department, gave a brief presentation on the background, proposed terms of reference, proposed structure and HLPE/FSN in the reform of the Global Governance of Food Security of the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition.
