The GEF-8 Food Systems Integrated Program launches to support 32 countries in transforming their food systems

Representatives from eight countries across Asia and Africa came together in Hanoi, Viet Nam to discuss a unified approach to advance sustainable rice production and jointly drive FSIP project development. 

The project will enhance sustainable rice production landscapes in Sindh and restore 15,000 hectares of land and improve farming practices on 50,000 hectares, reduce approximately 460,000 tonnes of GHG emissions, and benefit nearly 75,000 women and men. 

The initiative aims to support shifts towards sustainable nature-positive production and efficient value chains for crops, commodities, livestock, and aquaculture.
