تقول السيدة Teodora Vera، وهي امرأة في الخامسة والخمسين من عمرها تنتمي إلى مجتمع شعوب الأفا غواراني الأصلية في "ياكا بوتي": "الغابة بالنسبة إلينا مكان مقدّس؛ منها نستمدّ دواءنا، وحطبنا، وكلّ شيء. الغابة هي حياتنا."
