Global Soil Partnership

The partnership

The GSP is a voluntary and inclusive initiative that brings together governments, international and regional organizations, institutions and other stakeholders committed to sustainable soil management worldwide.

Partners

GSP partners contribute to shared goals by providing expertise and support for soil-related initiatives. They play a central role in shaping priorities, guiding actions and fostering collaboration across sectors and regions.

Focal points

GSP Focal Points are senior officials appointed by national authorities to serve as the official link between their country and the GSP. They promote sustainable soil management, coordinate with stakeholders, support GSP activities and help raise awareness through national and regional initiatives.

Regional Soil Partnerships

Regional Soil Partnerships (RSPs) bring together active stakeholders in each region to advance sustainable soil management. RSPs work closely with FAO Regional Offices and the GSP Secretariat, establishing consultative processes with national soil entities and regional institutions. They help tailor GSP actions to regional and local contexts, ensuring effective implementation and knowledge sharing.
