Emil Djangirov, a brand chef from Kyrgyzstan, is a real celebrity of the culinary world. He is the silver medalist of the Kremlin Cup in Moscow and has won the “Shef a la ruse” competition in several disciplines. Emil Djangirov was responsible for catering for the residents of the Olympic Village during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and cooked for the presidents of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing. Also, in his personal collection of achievements – silver medal of the World Cooking Championship in Luxembourg. Emil Djangirov actively promotes healthy nutrition. He tries to modernize the traditional Central Asian cuisine of Kyrgyzstan, adding new healthy ingredients and using only environmentally friendly, organic products. Thanks to Emil Djangirov, a new generation of cooks has appeared in Kyrgyzstan, which are shaping the food culture in the country.

Emil Djangirov took an active part in the promotion of the FAO project for the development of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture management in Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the project, the production and consumption of fish and fish products in the country has increased many times over. With his participation, the chef drew the attention of the people of the country to the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA) 2022, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly. Through his work and active life stance, Emil Djangirov is helping FAO to achieve its goals of improving nutrition in Kyrgyzstan.
