GCI Webinar Series
The FAO Green Cities Initiative (GCI) Webinar Series is organized across different thematic tracks to strengthen technical knowledge and build capacity on key dimensions of sustainable urban development, in line with FAO GCI mission and vision (insert hyperlink: What FAO does about Green Cities Initiatives). Each series focuses on a specific topic under the GCI framework and highlights global experiences, emerging challenges, and practical opportunities for strengthening urban and peri-urban systems.
The sessions aim to equip participants with foundational knowledge and encourage the adoption of innovative approaches in both urban and peri-urban contexts. Through the exchange of experiences and best practices, the webinars provide a platform for stakeholders to learn from one another, explore new models, and advance sustainable development in cities worldwide.
GCI Courses
The FAO Green Cities Initiative (GCI) supports cities in becoming more sustainable, resilient, and healthy by integrating green infrastructure, urban food systems, forestry, agriculture and circular bioeconomy into urban life. As part of this work, FAO GCI offers learning opportunities and training that help urban planners, policymakers, practitioners and city stakeholders and individuals interested in sustainable urban development build practical skills and knowledge for greener cities.
