Indonesia
In the context of the 50x2030 Initiative, FAO has been providing support to Indonesia to implement their national agricultural survey programme (SITASI - Survei Pertanian Terintegrasi), with the aim to improve the country agricultural data quality, reliability and timeliness, and generally to strengthen its agricultural statistical system.
In particular, FAO has been assisting Statistics Indonesia (Budan Pusat Statistik, BPS) and the Ministry of Agriculture in the preparation and implementation of three rounds of annual agricultural survey following the 50x3030 agricultural survey programme model.
Technical assistance includes strengthening national statisticians’ competencies in the preparation (including questionnaire adaptation), dissemination and use of survey data to inform decision and policymaking. To date, FAO supported BPS with the production of SITASI 2021, which used the Economy and the Machinery, Equipment and Assets rotating modules of the AGRISurvey programme, and helped informing SDG indicators 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.4.1 and 5.a.1.

Publication of SITASI 2021 report.
BPS Indonesia first informed SDG indicators 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.4.1 and 5.a.1 in 2020, using data from the SITASI 2020 survey conducted in three provinces only. Nationwide values for these four SDG indicators were later produced through the comprehensive SITASI 2021 exercise.
