
Zambia
FAO, under the umbrella of the 50x2030 Initiative, provides technical support to the Government of Zambia for the implementation of annual agricultural survey programme to address the limited availability and quality of agricultural data and strengthen the country’s agricultural statistics system.
The programme will support the 2024 large agricultural sample survey and annual surveys from 2025 to 2027, including a CORE module and three annual rotating modules on farm income, labor and productivity (ILP); production methods and environment (PME); and machinery, equipment and assets (MEA).
The country will also receive support in the preparation and implementation of one additional specialized survey instrument, namely the Post Harvest Losses (PHL), and in the preparation and implementation of surveys on non-standard measurement units to support the data processing and analysis of the CORE module over the years.
