Best practice-handling for handline and rod-and-reel fisheries

The way a tuna fish is handled by the fisher within the first five minutes of it being caught makes or breaks the quality of the flesh and the price it will fetch at market. The International Pole and Line Foundation has written this guide for FAO’s Common Oceans Tuna project for dissemination and education among small-scale tuna handline fleets to serve as a user-friendly manual on best practices.
