The FAO-Türkiye Partnership Programmes…
a story of staunch endeavour, growing collaboration and deepening dedication
Established in 2006, this partnership between FAO and Türkiye for food security and sustainable management of natural resources has stretched to Central Asia, the Caucasus, Africa and beyond.
Today, this joint effort is continuing with the second phase of the FAO-Türkiye Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture (FTPP II) and the FAO-Türkiye Forestry Partnership Programme (FTFP).
Together, they encompass 20 projects stretching from the shores of the Mediterranean to the steppes of Central Asia, extending from Europe to Africa.
These projects cover a wide array of topics including but not limited to food security, empowerment of rural women, sustainable forests, food loss and waste, fisheries, food safety, agricultural development and national capacity enhancement.
The FAO-Türkiye Partnership Programmes provide a fertile platform for sharing expertise and experience to strengthen the agricultural and forestry capacities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as those of other countries in Africa and the Balkans.
FAO and Türkiye are determined to further this fruitful partnership…to achieve the goals of eradicating poverty and hunger, and ensure the sustainable management of natural resources.
