Together with countries, communities and partners around the world, in particular the Collaborative Partnership on Forests, FAO will host an event to mark the International Day of Forests (IDF), the key day in the forestry calendar that celebrates the importance of all types of forests.

This year’s IDF theme is “Forests and Education”. The event hosted in the Sheikh Zayed Centre brings together forest educators, students and other invited guests to raise awareness on the importance of all types of forests in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as well as the pressing need to invest in forestry education to ensure forests’ sustainability now and in the future.
