The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed 2021–2030 as the Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, positioning the restoration of ecosystems as a major nature-based solution towards meeting a wide range of global development goals and national priorities.

In this context, the Task Force on Best Practices was established to set the ground for future efforts on knowledge capitalization and dissemination. The second meeting of the Task Force will be held on 3 June 2020, and it will present the Terms of Reference of the capacity needs assessment that will be implemented to inform the knowledge and learning plan and foreseen contributions from Task Force members.
