The parallel session Enhancing capacities for effective ecosystem restoration throughout the Decade and beyond of the 26th Session of the FAO Committee on Forestry (COFO) will take place on 7 October 2022 from 8:15–9:45 AM (UTC +2) in the Austria Room of the FAO Headquarters. Register here for the online session!

This parallel session will be the opportunity to discuss key products that the FAO-led Task Force on Best Practices is currently developing:

• an advanced draft of the Standards of Practice that will provide guidance on the application of the principles to the planning, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of ecosystem restoration projects; and 
• an advanced draft of the Capacity, Knowledge and Learning Action Plan that will define, replicate and upscale key knowledge products and capacity development initiatives.

Feedback will be requested during the session to improve these products to be launched in December 2022 during Fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
