Steps
1. Stir ground ingredients and oil into paste. Add oil, warmed but not hot.
2. Add water to give a slightly liquid consistency.
3. Salt to taste.
4. Chop smoked fish or crayfish and add to the mixture, or add a little of each to the portions during the wrapping process.
5. Wrap portions in leaves (approx. 4 tbsp.).
6. Steam for about 1 1/2 hours or until the paste solidifies and does not stick to the leaves when they are removed.
