Leveraging digital solutions to advance the food and nutrition agenda: opportunities and challenges from various food-systems perspectives
The Regional Centre for Excellence against Hunger and Malnutrition (CERFAM), together with the Government of Cote d’Ivoire and the World Food Programme (WFP) are co-organizing a webinar on the following topic: “Leveraging digital solutions to advance the food and nutrition agenda: opportunities and challenges from various food-systems perspectives.” This webinar will be held on the 26th of January at 11:00 GMT by way of the Zoom platform.
In a rapidly changing and fast-paced world, digital technology has penetrated all aspects of life and human activity. The COVID-19 pandemic was the biggest reminder of this, having brought to fore the urgent need to invest in digital tools in wide-ranging industries and settings. This webinar, therefore, provides an occasion to explore the role of digitalisation within nutrition and food systems transformation for improved nutrition outcomes, sustainable healthy diets, and increasing nutrition resilience of communities while unpacking the opportunities and challenges which come with it.
The webinar will allow distinguished experts from the Food Fortification Initiative (FFI), BioAnalytGmbH, Dimagi, and WFP’s School-based Programme Division to share their experiences and perspectives on this topic.
