Launch of IDMC Global Report on Internal Displacement
This year the report’s theme is Food Insecurity and Internal Displacement, and the launch event will include a panel discussion with OER Director, Rein Paulsen, who will discuss how FAO’s work in building resilience and self-reliance can provide solutions for internally displaced people, and the need for the international community to collect better data to understand the true scope of food insecurity for Internal Displaced People (IDPs).
In recognition of the links between food insecurity and internal displacement, OER is expanding our partnership with IDMC, including through the publication of a joint background paper on the need for investment in durable solutions to internal displacement, which will be published shortly.
