Food and Nutrition education combined with livelihood support is practiced in several documented experiences (e.g. Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Burkina Faso). Given the potential for this practice to be used in a larger number of countries, this webinar builds on experiences from Somalia and Niger and on technical expertise to discuss basic steps to develop effective food and nutrition education programmes that are part of livelihood support programmes. The discussions will be tailored to emergency programmes.

The webinar findings, together with a review of published literature and grey literature and consultations with experts, will be used to identify the essential components of food and nutrition education interventions and the planning steps required, that are appropriate and feasible for emergency programmes.

Against this background, this webinarspecificallyaims to discuss appropriate steps to combine food and nutrition education with livelihood support in short-term emergency programmes.
