Instituto Mexicano de Tecnología del Agua (IMTA)

The Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA) is a decentralized public body that is dedicated to facing the national and regional challenges associated with water management and outlining new approaches in technological research and development to protect the resource and allocate it appropriately, efficiently and equitably between the different users. IMTA supports sub-project 1 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Addressing the water-energy nexus in agriculture (WEF).

Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de las Familias

The DIF National System is the decentralized public body in charge of coordinating the National Public and Private Social Assistance System. A promoter of the integral protection of the rights of girls, boys and adolescents, under the constitutional imperative of the best interests of children, as well as the integral development of the individual, the family and the community, mainly of those who, due to their physical, cognitive or social condition, face situations of vulnerability, until they achieve their incorporation into a full and productive life.

One of the key programs is the Hot School Breakfast Program, with which it seeks to contribute so that the population of children and adolescents who attend school have a healthy, sufficient and quality diet. SNDIF supports sub-project 2 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Resilient school feeding programs.

Comisión Nacional de Acuacultura y Pesca (CONAPESCA)

The National Commission for Aquaculture and Fisheries is a decentralized body of SADER committed to legality, quality and transparency, in charge of promoting and developing coordination mechanisms with different instances to implement policies, programs and regulations that lead and facilitate competitive development and sustainable development of the country's fishing and aquaculture sector, to increase the well-being of Mexicans. CONAPESCA supports sub-project 3 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Resilient aquaculture for food security and well-being in the Caribbean.

The Center for Biological Research of the Northwest SC (CIBNOR) contributes with social responsibility to take Mexico to its maximum potential through the generation and dissemination of frontier knowledge, innovation and the training of scientists and experts in the field of biological sciences and in the use, management and preservation of natural resources. CIBNOR supports sub-project 3 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Resilient aquaculture for food security and well-being in the Caribbean.

Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agrícolas y Pecuarias

National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural and Livestock Research (INIFAP) contributes to sustainable rural development by improving competitiveness and maintaining the base of natural resources, through participatory and co-responsible work with other institutions and public and private organizations associated with the Mexican countryside, through the generation of scientific knowledge and agricultural and forestry technological innovation, as a response to the demands and needs of the agro-industrial chains and the different types of producers. INIFAP supports sub-project 4 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Support the Levy Germplasm Centre, South Department, Haiti.

International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center

The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is an international organization focused on non-profit agricultural research and training that empowers farmers through science and innovation to nourish the world in the midst of a climate crisis. Applying high-quality science and strong partnerships, CIMMYT works to achieve a world with healthier and more prosperous people, free from global food crises and with more resilient agri-food systems. CIMMYT’s research brings enhanced productivity and better profits to farmers, mitigates the effects of the climate crisis, and reduces the environmental impact of agriculture. CIMMYT supports sub-project 4 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Support the Levy Germplasm Centre, South Department, Haiti.

Instituto Nacional de Pesca y Acuacultura

The National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture is a Sectorized Decentralized Public Organization with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER), has legal personality and its own assets. It is in charge of directing, coordinating and guiding scientific and technological research in fisheries and aquaculture, as well as the development, innovation and technology transfer required by the fisheries and aquaculture sector. INAPESCA supports sub-project 3 of the Resilient Caribbean Initiative: Resilient aquaculture for food security and well-being in the Caribbean.
