Objective / Goal

Strengthen the resilience of Ivorian farmers by providing them with reliable, understandable, and tailored agroclimatic information to anticipate risks, adapt their practices, and secure their production in the face of climate change.

Activities
  1. Diagnostic on the use of agrometeorological information: analysis of the availability and use of information by producers, identification of gaps and needs, and recommendations validated during a workshop.
  2. Establishment of a technical working group for season start bulletins, involving experts in climatology, agronomy, and risk management, with meetings to develop seasonal advice and monthly monitoring of the agricultural campaign.
  3. Production of agrometeorological bulletins for three key crops: rainfed rice, cassava, and yam, integrating climate forecasts and tailored technical recommendations.
  4. Dissemination of agroclimatic information through radio and WhatsApp, training for broadcasters and producers, and regular distribution to rural communities.
