Objective / Goal

Strengthen the climate resilience and productivity of women cassava producers through the adoption of improved short-cycle varieties, the practice of crop rotation, and capacity development in the processing of valueadded products. 

Area of intervention: Bouaké Department, Gbêkê Region

Activities
  • Selection of 100 women producers from three agricultural professional organizations (OPAs) to identify their practices, needs, and constraints. 

  • Training and awareness raising on improved cassava varieties and cassava-legume intercropping techniques to preserve soil fertility and strengthen climate resilience. 

  • Establishment and monitoring of cassava-legume demonstration plots to test and validate the most effective crop associations and varieties adapted to local conditions. 

  • Capitalisation and dissemination of results through illustrated fact sheets and results sharing workshops with tasting sessions for women producers and local communities.
