Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Value Chains for the Mediterranean (SVC4MED)

SVC4MED is a research and development project aiming to contribute to the Blue Transformation of our aquatic food systems to increase benefits to society while safeguarding natural resources.

About the project

Achieving  Blue Transformation requires a systems approach, taking into account all activities and stakeholders along the food value chain. The SVC4MED project aims to identify strategies to improve the economic performance and social and environmental sustainability of capture fisheries and aquaculture value chains in the Mediterranean region.

SVC4MED is a four-year project funded by the Directorate General of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Government of Italy, and implemented by FAO. Learn more.
