Partners
The Water Scarcity Initiative (WSI) Programme is built on strong partnerships that bring together regional and international expertise to address water scarcity in the Near East and North Africa. Led by FAO, the programme works closely with UN agencies, international and regional organizations, research institutions, and national counterparts to promote coordinated action, knowledge sharing, and evidence-based solutions.
Key partners include ESCWA, ICARDA, ICBA, IWMI, UNICEF, the League of Arab States, and other regional and national institutions. Through this collaborative approach, WSI leverages complementary strengths, avoids duplication of efforts, and supports countries in achieving sustainable water, food, and climate outcomes.
