Gender transformative and intersectional approaches

This e-learning course (available in Spanish) is aimed at technical staff, civil servants and researchers from governments, representatives of international and civil society organizations, academics, development experts and students interested in gender equality and its intersections with ethnic, racial, age and regional considerations in rural areas of Latin America and the Caribbean.

It seeks to promote gender equality and women's empowerment through analysis, programmes and sustainable development projects with the aim of closing gender gaps in rural areas of the region.

The course aims to answer questions such as: Why adopt gender transformative and intersectional approaches in projects and programmes? How to design projects and programmes with gender transformative and intersectional approaches? It offers practical tools to design, implement, monitor and evaluate a project or programme with gender transformative and intersectional approaches for rural areas and provides examples of gender relevant methodologies and strategies.
