Kyrgyzstan is a country whose territory consists of 90% of mountains that are partially covered by breathtaking forests. Forest is not only an enriching biodiversity, improving air quality and the whole ecosystem of the country. To assist the Government, FAO launched a project on sustainable management of mountain forests and lands, with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility.
