FAO in Malawi
The Food and Agriculture Organization was established in Malawi in 1986 and has since then worked hand in hand with the Malawi Government to fight hunger and poverty. FAO leads efforts in resource mobilization and provides technical support to the government towards the development of the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors. The Malawi Country Programming Framework 2024-2028 summarizes the development priorities for collaboration between FAO and the Government of Malawi and contributes to national aspirations that are summarized in the Malawi Vision 2063.
