Organized "Healthy Food from Good Practices" - GAP marketing forum

SDC funded UNFAO implemented Inclusive and sustainable vegetable and marketing (VEGI) Outcome 4: Legal framework project organized “Healthy Food from Good Practices”-Vegetable marketing forum in close cooperation with Mon VEGI project implemented by MFARD on 02.12.2022.


The main objective of the forum is to strengthen the stakeholders' understanding and cooperation to improve the vegetable marketing environment and the forum has been organized for the last six years.


The participants consisted of the public and private sectors, NGOs, the largest vegetable producers, suppliers and representatives from hospitality services, chain stores, and cooperatives.


The guest speakers shared their voices and experiences on “State support on potatoes and vegetable production”, “Greenhouse market capacity /research findings/ result”, “Vegetable value chain / online selling”, “Mongolian organic product in World market” and “Mushroom value chain and marketing”.


During the presentation, the Organic wool fertilizer mostly attracted the interest of the participants, in particular, the local farmers expressed their interest to try the wool fertilizer in their fields. Moreover, the farmers are keen to extend their farming into mushroom production to generate additional income during the winter.


The highlight of the forum was that MFARD and Development solution NGO signed a memorandum of understanding on future cooperation.
