Scaling up nutrition Movement (SUN)
Collaborations between FAO and the Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) Movement have highlighted FAO’s support to the SUN platform. FAO, as a member of the UN Network for SUN (UNN), serves on the Steering Committee. FAO has a network of SUN focal points which engage in the UNN for SUN in SUN countries. SUN and FAO have collaborated to review and provide technical input to various publications and supported technical webinars to highlight technical themes, discuss country challenges and exchange best practices. Additionally, FAO is a co-convener of the implementation of the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition, in which UNN supports all action areas of the Decade, including SMART target setting.

New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD)
The partnership with AUDA-NEPAD and FAO goes a long way back to support not only core agriculture development programmes through Comprehensive African Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP - 2003), and more specifically with CAADP Pillar 3 on Food and Nutrition Security and Home Grown School Feeding. From 2005, FAO supported NEPAD with nutrition capacity building in the African Regional Economic Communities (RECs), where country sector policy makers and programme implementers, NGOs, and the private sector were trained and their capacities strengthened on a multi-sector and interdisciplinary approach for better integrated planning, policy, investment and implementation support. FAO, continues to contribute to the National Agriculture Investment Plans (NAIPs) to make them nutrition sensitive, and to the realization of the Malabo Nutrition targets. Recently the advocacy work with the Pan African Parliament Alliance for Food and Nutrition Security is bearing good results.  FAO is also rendering technical support to the Initiative for Food and Nutrition in Africa (IFNA).

UN Agencies on GAP for Ending Child Wasting
In July 2019, the UN Secretary General commissioned the five main UN agencies working on child wasting (FAO, UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP and WHO) to develop a Global Action Plan to accelerate progress against the SDG targets on child wasting. In March 2020, the agencies released the GAP Framework , identifying the conceptual and strategic frameworks to guide future efforts. Building on this Framework, an Operational Roadmap for its implementation will be developed in high-burden countries. The Roadmap will include concrete, high-impact actions to be scaled up by national governments, as well as the resources and support needed from different stakeholders to enable the acceleration of these efforts in the 2020-2025 period. In this context, FAO is committed to position prevention of child wasting at the core of collective efforts, recognizing that treatment alone will not reduce the number of new cases or stop at-risk children from relapsing. World Bank
Since 2019, ESN has been working with the World Bank to develop profiles that can allow countries to combine nutrition and dietary data with information on production and agribusiness opportunities. These profiles, also known as Nutrition Smart Agriculture Profiles (NSMARTAg), aim to inform supply side decisions such that they increase availability and affordability of safe and nutrient-rich foods that are under-represented in the local diet. ESN in collaboration with the Statistics Division (ESS) is providing advice on the nutrition and diet component of the NSMARTAg profiles. These profiles are currently being implemented in four countries: Guatemala,
Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mozambique and Haiti.
