Improving food security in sub-Saharan Africa by supporting the progressive reduction of tsetse-transmitted trypanosomosis

FAO and the Government of Italy will support the African Union to reduce the impact of tsetse flies and trypanosomosis in 38 African countries. FAO will be implementing a US$1 million project, funded by the Government of Italy, which will focus on improving food security in sub-Saharan Africa by supporting the progressive reduction of tsetse-transmitted trypanosomosis.
