On 28 October, FAO broke new ground with a panel discussion on “The Role of Faith-Based Organizations in Realizing the Right to Food for All.” For the first time in FAO’s history, the panel was led entirely by representatives from Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), a milestone in strengthening partnerships beyond the state and amplifying diverse voices to advance food security for all.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and IFOAM – Organics International have renewed their strategic partnership, signing a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the global transition to sustainable agrifood systems. The signing took place on 14 October 2025, at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) for more efficient, sustainable,  and equitable use of the world’s water resources. The agreement was signed by Ms. Beth Bechdol, FAO Deputy Director-General, and Mr. Eric Tardieu, Secretary-General of INBO, during the Rome Water Dialogue session on “Impactful Water Solutions”, held as part of the World Food Forum 2025.
