Pastoralists produce food in highly variable environments. Pastoral production systems support the livelihoods of millions of people. They have traditionally suffered from poor understanding, marginalization and exclusion from policies, investments and dialogues. The Hub, through guidance, knowledge generation and dissemination, seeks to support the development of pastoralist-friendly policies and frameworks. One of the main achievements of the Hub was to support the building and strengthening of eight regional pastoralist civil society networks that seek to influence policies and legislations in their regions.
