Steps in the identification of alternatives
The process for identification of alternatives to highly hazardous pesticides (HHPs), as discussed in this module, follows 5 main steps. As indicated earlier, adaptations of the steps may be required, and certain steps can be repeated several times, depending on the specific situation in the country.
Information for steps 1 and 2 may already have been compiled as part of the HHP identification and assessment, described in the Special Topics module of the Toolkit.
