Abastecimiento de alimentos por el Estado como medida de protección social. Debates en torno a la Ley Nacional de Seguridad Alimentaria de la India
Esta publicación ofrece una visión general sobre los principales temas debatidos durante el desarrollo y la aprobación de la Ley Nacional de Seguridad Alimentaria de la India (2013), que obliga jurídicamente a los Gobiernos nacional y estatales para ampliar el alcance de la protección social a la población del país.
En ella se plantean muchos debates intensos y pertinentes que pueden ser útiles tanto para los responsables de elaborar políticas como para activistas que deseen reforzar los marcos programáticos y jurídicos para la alimentación y la nutrición, especialmente en países de bajos ingresos, así como en economías emergentes.

En el presente informe se ofrecen estimaciones del coste de las inversiones públicas y privadas necesarias para eliminar las deficiencias crónicas de energía alimentaria, o para alcanzar la meta del hambre cero en 2030. Esta meta está en sintonía con el logro del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 2 de poner fin al hambre de aquí a 2030 y del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 1 de poner fin a la pobreza. Nutrition, food security and livelihoods: basic concepts
This 35-minute module addresses the basic terms and concepts relating to food and nutrition, malnutrition, food security and livelihoods. By the end of this module, you will be able to define and differentiate these key concepts and understand the different situations that they encompass. Understanding these concepts is indeed very important in order to be able to assess the nutrition situation, to design and implement programmes, investments and policies that address nutrition problems (also called "nutrition-sensitive"), and to evaluate the nutritional outcomes of programmes, investments and policies.

The impact of disasters on agriculture and food security
This study assesses the impact of medium to large scale natural hazards and disasters on the agriculture sector and subsectors in developing countries between 2003 and 2013, focusing on direct physical damage and indirect economic losses.
The findings of the study are expected to support national and international efforts to reduce damage and losses caused by disasters and strengthen the resilience of the agriculture sector, in line with resilience targets set under the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement.

Framework for Action for Food Security and Nutrition in Protracted Crises (CFS-FFA)
The objective of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) Framework for Action for Food Security and Nutrition in Protracted Crises (CFS-FFA, the Framework) is to improve the food security and nutrition of populations affected by, or at risk of, protracted crises by addressing critical manifestations and building resilience; adapting to specific challenges; and contributing to addressing underlying causes.
The CFS-FFA is a short document that provides a broad framework that can be used by all stakeholders who may have a role in improving or impacting food security and nutrition in protracted crises.
