Le Plan d’action 2026-2029 pour la mise en œuvre de la Stratégie de la FAO en matière de science et d’innovation guide l’application de ladite Stratégie. Il établit un cadre commun pour les activités de la FAO aux niveaux national, sous-régional, régional et mondial. Le Plan d’action 2026-2029 est une mise à jour du Plan d’action initial, qui couvrait la période 2022-2025.

La Stratégie vise à renforcer les travaux de la FAO en matière de science et d’innovation en fournissant des orientations et en apportant cohérence et harmonisation à l’échelle de l’Organisation dans le domaine de la science et de l’innovation. La science et l’innovation, qui constituent le fondement du Cadre stratégique 2022-2031 de la FAO, revêtent un caractère intersectoriel et présentent un intérêt pour l’ensemble du programme de travail de l’Organisation.

In the current edition of a regular joint bi-yearly report, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP)warn that acute food insecurity is likely to deteriorate further in 18 hunger hotspots, including a total of 17 countries or territories and one regional cluster which comprises 4 countries, during the outlook period from June to October 2024.
