2025 High-Level Ministerial Special Event “From Vulnerability to Resilience - Strengthening Food Security and Better Life in Small Island Developing States, Least Developed Countries and Landlocked Developing Countries”
29/06/2025
Small Island Developing States (SIDS), Least Developed Countries (LDCs), and Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) face significant challenges in achieving food security and nutrition, a fundamental pillar of sustainable development. These nations grapple with a complex web of interconnected vulnerabilities, including climate change impacts, environmental degradation, economic instability, high food import dependency and limited access to resources. Transforming their agrifood systems from vulnerability to resilience requires a multi-faceted approach, emphasizing locally adapted solutions, technological innovation, and strengthened partnerships.
