FAO in Sierra Leone

Since 1978, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has partnered with the Government of Sierra Leone to improve food security, strengthen sustainable agrifood systems, build climate resilience, and enhance the livelihoods of rural communities. Working closely with government institutions, development partners, civil society, and farming communities, FAO provides technical expertise and supports programmes that promote sustainable agriculture, nutrition, fisheries, forestry, livestock development, and inclusive rural transformation.
