From 1–3 September 2025, FAO hosted the 14th International Food Data Conference (IFDC) in Rome. Led and organized by FAO’s Food and Nutrition Division (ESN) in collaboration with global partners, the three-day event brought together around 180 experts from over 40 countries to explore the latest developments in food composition data – the detailed information about the nutrients and components in the foods we eat.

The benchmark of world food commodity prices declined slightly in September, led by drops in the sugar and dairy price indices, according to the new report released by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Friday.

This week, the country is hosting a training workshop organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), bringing together national experts for a hands-on training aimed at enhancing the country’s capacity to generate timely, accurate, and reliable crop type, crop acreage and crop yield statistics.
