The Rice Value Chain in Tanzania - A Report from the Southern Highlands Food Systems Programme

Rice is the third most important crop in Tanzania and its production has been prioritized by the Government through its National Rice Development Strategy (NRDS). This report looks at setting up rice value chain development strategies by focusing on increasing rice production, rural storage capacity, improving performance along the entire chain and enhancing the business-enabling environment.
