TCP Changemakers
A TCP project for USD 45 000 provided a key contribution in support of the mobilization of a total of USD 1.34 billion in Bangladesh. As part of a larger effort, the TCP extended support to formulate a Plan of Action to implement the Government 10-year strategy to develop the agricultural sector (called the National Agricultural Policy). The mobilized funding consists of a World Bank loan (USD 500 million), an IFAD loan (USD43 million), and co-funding from the Government (USD 800 million). This programme, approved in 2023, has been built on the Action Plan developed with support from the TCP. In addition, other two TCPs have been supporting the development of specific projects under the programme, leading to an approval of two UTFs: Technical Assistance for Capacity Enhancement and Adoption of Precision Agriculture Practices (USD 1,3 million) and E-Voucher Feasibility and CSA Practices with Sustainable Food Systems (USD 165,000).
