Instructions for Vendors

1. Go to the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) website (www.ungm.org).

Click on "Register" on the left side of the UNGM home page.  On the next screen, click on the button "Continue to registration."

You should be directed to a page where you will need to read and accept the "UN Supplier Code of Conduct" and fill out some basic information on your company.

Click again on "Continue to registration" and proceed by entering your company's valid e-mail address that will be used to active your new UNGM account.

2. An e-mail containing an activation link will be sent to your e-mail address. Once you receive the e-mail, click on the activation link to activate your UNGM account.

3. After clicking on the activation link, you will be re-directed to UNGM's Account Activation page, where you can continue to complete your Basic Registration.

You will need to provide all the required information to complete your registration by going through the following required areas:

  • General company information
  • Address
  • Countries/area
  • Contacts
  • Declaration
  • Coding
  • UN Organizations

Click "Save" at the bottom of each page. Fields marked with asterisks (*) are required fields that need to be filed out with relevant information.

The progress of your registration process is indicated at the top of the screen.

Under the "Coding" tab you will need to select and save those UNSPSC codes that are related to your company's area of business.

Based on these product and service codes, certain UN Agencies will now appear under the "UN Organizations" tab indicating UN Organizations that do business using these products and services.

If FAO appears , then this indicates that FAO procures the products and services that these codes represents.  Please select "Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)" under "UN Organizations" tab, and click on "Submit to these UN organizations." A dialog box will appear to confirm the submission of your registration.

After successfully submitting your basic registration, FAO will evaluate the registration.
