Scaling Up
Developing and Promoting integrated food systems approaches globally, for scaling up in focus country and beyond
The achievement of thematic area 4 is strongly interrelated to the previous outputs and it is key for scaling up the implemented good practices and for providing post-project continuity, linking the project to global commitment such as the 2030 Agenda, the New Urban Agenda (NUA) and the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP).
The strategy will include exchange with other cities, capacity development at local and national level, and the scaling up of the project through international events and fora.
Scaling up activities primarily focus on three main components:
- City to city exchanges on food waste
- Organization of independent dialogues as part of the Food Systems Summit process
- Developing urban food systems actions as part of the Green Cities Initiative.
